Hello all, and welcome to our new storyline!
Aviv and I have been working for the past two months on re-creating Up to Four Players as a long-form story. Why? Mostly because we were looking for something new and exciting for us to do. You might have some more questions, so here’s a quick FAQ:
What’s your schedule?
A new page every Monday, podcast and post every Thursday. The podcast is about geeky recommendations and things we find interesting, the post is about the world of Crystal Heart, Savage Worlds rules, general RPG issues, and related matters. We’ll also answer your RPG questions, (in the style of my Hebrew podcast, On the Shoulders of Dwarves), send them here.
What are they playing?
The game system is Savage Worlds, by Pinnacle Entertainment Group. We’ll be explaining the main rules as we go along – both for story’s sake, and just for you guys to get to know the system. It’s Fast, Furious and Fun, as the moto accurately says!
The game world (“setting”) is of our own creation, originally developed for our home game, several years ago. The pitch is “Tomb robbers with changeable super-powers go on serialised adventures in a Anime-inspired world”, and it’s influenced by Indiana Jones, Final Fantasy (especially X and X-2), with a bit of Angel.
Why do you have a Patreon?
We are ad-free, and most of our funding comes from Patreon supporters (all other funding comes from our small RPG products, available here). We believe that good work deserves remuneration, even if there’s no specific price tag on it; if you enjoy our work and think it’s good, please consider buying us a monthly cup of coffee via our Patreon page.
